Finger Lakes International Wine Competition

The world’s largest charitable wine challenge, the Finger Lakes International Wine Competition evaluated over 3700 wines from 23 countries in 2015, judged by a diverse panel of 72 experts from across the wine industry.
The competition will be held March 18-20, 2016 in Rochester, NY. Wines must be shipped by February 24 and arrive no later than March 11. Registration is $50 per wine and open to all licensed wineries.

Finger Lakes International Wine Competition donates 100% of its proceeds to Camp Good Days, a residential camp in New York’s Finger Lakes region dedicated to giving children and adults affected by cancer, HIV/AIDS and violence a fun, friendly and supportive camping experience.
Wines are judged by class and awarded Bronze, Silver, Gold, Double-Gold and Best-in-Class. Special awards are presented for the top Riesling and Ice Wine. In 2015, judges awarded 108 Double Gold, 200 Gold, 1,423 Silver and 1,308 Bronze medals. Award-winning wines are featured at the Finger Lakes International Wine Competition Wine Dinner and Auction.
The Finger Lakes International Wine Competition brings together a diverse panel of judges from around the world. Judges includes Masters of Wine, Master Sommeliers, winemakers, writers, importers, educators and more. Wines are judged blind and each wine is evaluated on its own merits rather than against other wines. Gold medal-winning Rieslings and Ice Wines are judged in a finals round to select the recipients of the John Rose Award for top Riesling and the Crystal Grape Award for top Ice Wine.
